UHT Body, Mind, Spirit Path 
Created by Grandmaster Mantak Chia The UHT Path is based on building a strong foundation of Basic core practices. 
Those core practices provide the possibility to specialize in one or several UHT Branches.
Tao Energy Basics builds the Basic Foundation for all the Branches and all students need to study Tao Energy Basics and then a student may choose to specialise or upgrade in one or more fields.

Global Faculty, 
You are supported by an experienced faculty, well-grounded system and a globally renowned network of practitioners and instructors. In respect for our founder Grandmaster Mantak Chia we highly recommend to study and train with him whenever there is a possibility for you to do so.

Global Network 
The UHT Foundation with its network of Council of 9, the 6 Continental Coordinators, a Global Faculty, Branch Leaders, Country Coordinators and Country Organisations or Associations are passing down the educational curriculum in alignment with the UHT Foundation principles.

Within the UHT System there are 5 Branches with their specific curriculum in how to develop mastery within the Branch. Business support and mentorship will be provided through local organisations and their websites. All prerequisites for becoming a UHT Instructor you will find on our on UHT Foundation and affiliated websites.


Associate Instructor Prerequisites

Home Study

Read books or practice with Home-Study DVDs related to Tao Energy Basics. Students living in areas with no Instructors around may do Home-Study by Master Chia’s web training, DVD, online video training or other media by UHT Senior Instructors or UHT Certified Instructors. The student is responsible to give proof of taking the online course.

1- Prerequisite Training
60 – 70 hours of preparatory training before coming to Associate Instructor training, which may be facilitated by any level of Instructor. Hours may include; classes, workshops, retreats or private instruction. Related experience will be evaluated and exceptions will be considered by the Senior Instructor.

3- Core Practices
A minimum of 40 hours needs to be Tao Energy Basics (Inner Smile, Microcosmic Orbit, Healing Sounds, Chi Self Massage), Iron Shirt (Tree & Turtle), Simple 5 Qigong Warm-ups (Crane & Turtle Neck, Spinal Cord Breathing, Shaking, Sitting Meditation Warm-ups),

4- Additional Practices
20 – 30 hours out of the 60 – 70 hours may come from: Healing Love, Iron Shirt II & III, Fusion I, Tai Chi I, Tan Tien Qigong or Tao Yin.

5- Personal Practice 
A personal daily practice in the UHT Basic Practices for a minimum of 6 months to one year is recommended.

Associate Instructor Training — only after having taken the prerequisites

1- Certification Training Hours
40 hours with a Senior Instructor

2- Interview and Evaluation with a UHT Senior Instructor and a UHT Instructor
Evaluation Subjects: Theory and Practice of: Warm up, Inner Smile, Six Healing Sounds, Microcosmic Orbit and Chi Self Massage.

3- Teaching after Certification
Associate Instructors are only allowed to teach Tao Energy Basics in the area where they live.
